"COTA - RUSSIA"Award

The "COTA-RUSSIA" (Castles On The Air – Russia) award is given to any licensed radio-amateur or SWL who submits proof of radio contact with still in existence Fortresses, Castles and forts of Russia, made by any kind of mode on any bands after January, 01st, 2000. Repeated QSOs are not valid.
All objects identifies with letter and three digits in the list of Fortresses, Castles and forts. Fortresses and Castles is identified with letter “C”, forts with letter “F”, fortified areas (areas of coastal defence) with letter "U". First digit indicates the location of object (radioamateur district of Russia) following two digits indicates the serial number.

The award has 3 classes:

Application for diploma is based on the received QSL cards and should contain object identification number of the correspondent according to list COTA-Russia. No QSLs, only certified application is required. The award manager can require QSL for check.

Award fee is US $8 for each class certificate, IRCs are accepted as $1 each.
